چکیده

Cineangiographic axial techniques were designed to overcome the limitations of conventional angiography in the diagnosis of congenital heart disease. Two basic patient (or equipment) maneuvers are involved; 1) long axis of the heart is aligned perpendicular to the X-ray beam, and 2) rotation of patient results in the heart being radiographically sectioned at 300 angles. To accomplish this with fixed vertical and horizontal X-ray tubes, three positions were developed: 1) "hepato-clavicular," "4 chamber," 2) "long axial oblique," 3) "anterior-posterior axial." A fourth, the "sitting-up"

Digital angiography in the pediatric patient with congenital heart disease: comparison with standard methods.

Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) permits high-resolution cardiac imaging with relatively low doses of contrast medium and reduced radiation exposure. These are potential advantages in children with congenital heart disease. Computer-based DSA (30 frames/sec) and conventional cutfilm angiography (6 frames/sec) or cineangiography (60 frames/sec) were compared in 42 patients, ages 2 months to...

Digital subtraction angiography in infants and children with congenital heart disease.

Digital subtraction angiography was used as the sole imaging technique in 95 infants and children aged 13 hours to 16 years undergoing cardiac catheterisation for the investigation of congenital heart disease. Injections of diluted contrast medium were made selectively at central sites, and the images were obtained using continuous image intensification fluoroscopy at either 32.25 nC/kg/s (125 ...

Recent advances in pediatric interventional cardiology

During the last 10 years, there have been major technological achievements in pediatric interventional cardiology. In addition, there have been several advances in cardiac imaging, especially in 3-dimensional imaging of echocardiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and cineangiography. Therefore, more types of congenital heart diseases can be treated in the cardiac catheter...

Cineangiography of the heart in a single breath hold with a segmented turboFLASH sequence.

Six healthy volunteers and three patients with cardiac anomalies were studied in a comparison of segmented turboFLASH (fast low-angle shot) cine, a method of magnetic resonance imaging that permits an entire series of high-resolution cine images to be obtained in one breath hold, with standard cine. Segmented turboFLASH uses a gradient-echo sequence designed for short imaging times in combinati...
